Noor Ahmed: Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmed was picked by Chennai Super Kings for a price of ₹10 crore in the 2025 IPL auction. The left-arm chinaman who has played in various leagues across the globe, is a very smart buy for the 5-time IPL champions. The chinaman bowler’s pace and spin will be very beneficial for Chennai Super Kings.
Allah Gazanfar: Another spin wizard from Afghanistan, Allah Gazanfar will be plying his trade for Mumbai Indians. The 18-year-old, who was a vital contributor to Afghanistan’s triumph at the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, was picked up by Mumbai Indians for INR 4.8 crore. With Wankhede’s red soil and the humidity in the air, Gazanfar’s wicket-to-wicket bowling will be very beneficial for the Hardik Pandya-led outfit.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi: This one was a very much-talked-about transfer at the IPL 2025 mega auction. The 13-year-old who plays for Bihar was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.1 crores. The left-hander who made his domestic cricket debut at the age of 12 was Team India’s second-highest run scorer at the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Priyansh Arya: Delhi-opener Priyansh Arya, who impressed many with his six-hitting ability in the recently concluded Delhi Premier League 2024, was picked up by Punjab Kings for INR 3.80 crores. Known for his aggressive batting and ability to dominate bowlers, Arya’s stellar DPL performances made him the leading run-scorer in the league.
Suryansh Shedge: The breakout star from Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Suryansh Shedge smashed 131 runs at a strike rate of 251.92. Looking at his hard-hitting batting in the death, Suryansh Shedge was picked up by Punjab Kings for INR 30 lakhs.
Shaik Rasheed: Shaik Rasheed who was part of Chennai Super Kings last season didn’t get much game time. But with the overhaul, Rasheed is expected to get some matches this season. In last year’s Coastal Riders in APL 2024, he emerged as the third-highest run-scorer, striking at a strike-rate of 140.75. Rasheed was the vice-captain of the group which won the Under-19 World Cup in 2022.

Jharkhand-based Robin Minz is the first Adivasi player in IPL history. After missing IPL 2024 due to a bike accident, Minz was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 75 lakhs in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
